Our grade 7's and 8's have been working hard on this year's play "The Wizard of Oz". It promises to be a great performance. We would love to see the support of adoring fans during our upcoming shows.
The following dates are the scheduled performances:
Tuesday, February 12th - 9:30 am Feeder School Performance.
1:15 pm SCSS Grade 7/8 viewing.
Wednesday, February 13th & Thursday February 14th - Evening Performances.
A letter with further details and ticketing information will be coming home with students shortly.
As a precaution this afternoon, police asked Central to lock down the building due to a potential threat outside of the school elsewhere in the community. Threat has been contained, lockdown has been lifted, students are safe and classes have resumed as normal.

8:30 a.m. Elementary Band/Choir/Percussion Ensemble arrive at Central.
9:00 a.m. Load bus, depart, and set up at Romeo P.S.
10:00 a.m. Romeo P.S. performance.
11:00 a.m. Lunch break at Festival Market Place.
12:45 p.m. Set up for performance at Shakespeare P.S.
1:45 p.m. Shakespeare P.S. performance.
3 :00 p.m. Return to Central and set up for evening performance.
6:30 p.m. Elementary Band/Choir/Percussion Ensemble arrive at Central.
7:00 p.m. Elementary Holiday Concert in the Lower Gym (family and friends welcome!).
8:00 p.m. Clean-up - Instruments, Music, & Stands to the music room.
Please join us for a night of music featuring our Grade 7 & 8 Concert Bands, The Elementary Percussion Ensemble, and the Elementary Choir. These students have been working very hard this year, and have put together a great show. You are invited to celebrate the Winter Break with us and enjoy their efforts.
The show begins at 7 p.m. in the Lower Gym. First come first serve seating.
THANK YOU to the amazing parent council volunteers who spent countless hours baking and packaging a morning treat for all of our students this morning! It truly takes a village and we are so fortunate to have an engaged group of parents who truly care about our students and their well-being!
The bus will be leaving at 7:25 a.m. sharp, from the lower back parking lot, on Thursday, November 29, 2018, for a tournament at South Huron District High School in Exeter. Boys will play in the morning and girls will play in the afternoon. Students will arrive back to SCSS at approximately 4:45 p.m. Depending on the outcome of the finals, teams may return home earlier. Please bring appropriate clothing, clean indoor running shoes, lunch, snacks and a water bottle. Good luck to our Grade 7 & 8 Volleyball teams! See attached schedules for details.
It's Mint Smoothie Fundraiser time! You can order now through to December 3rd. Mint Smoothies are $2 each, with $0.65 per smoothie sold going to the student's fundraising account. Funds raised will go towards the grade 7 or 8 year end trip. See the order form for more details.
